I am delighted to submit my application for the position of Senior Program Officer, for Social Behavioral Change Officer With seven years of experience in senior technical and managerial roles within both government and humanitarian sectors, I have honed my skills in designing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating humanitarian programs. I am confident that my extensive background makes me a strong candidate for this role.

My experience includes managing large-scale, multimillion-dollar programs that focus on protecting lives, livelihoods, rights, and safety in complex emergencies. I have a proven ability to apply international humanitarian law, principles, and codes of conduct effectively in these settings.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology of Education from the International University of Africa, Sudan, and a certificate in non-governmental management. Additionally, I have served as a gender issue officer and worked for one year at the Somali region high court. My combined education and professional background position me well for the responsibilities of this role.

Currently, I am a Senior Manager at Jigjiga Flour and Bread Factory and the Program Manager for Jigjiga City Administration, Somali region, Ethiopia. I lead a PSNP4 program, coordinating quality program management across five livelihood response projects. My responsibilities include community development, governance, and ensuring gender-sensitive programming. I have overseen and managed program staff, logistics, budgeting, and internal control reporting systems, maintaining technical coordination with partners and stakeholders, including government entities.

My technical skills in project management encompass project planning, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, proposal development, and donor report preparation. I am adept at leading technical working groups, delivering presentations, and tracking progress. I have hands-on experience in holistic programs covering livelihoods, emergency response, drought recovery, resilience, governance, and peace-building.

I am results-oriented, committed, and passionate about humanitarian response. I strive to make a lasting difference through conflict-sensitive and do-no-harm programming while maximizing operational efficiencies. If given the opportunity, I will bring hands-on field experience, cultural understanding, and a wealth of cross-country approaches and best practices to your team.
